\ud83c\udf0d Conclusion of the Training Workshop on Technical and Institutional Capacity Building for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory \ud83c\uddfe\ud83c\uddea

The Ministry of Water and Environment, represented by the Climate Change Unit, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and with the support of the Government of the Netherlands, concluded the training workshop on technical and institutional capacity building for greenhouse gas emissions inventory.

The training was held remotely online from 20 to 27 October 2025, with the participation of 26 trainees specializing in the fields of environment, climate, energy, and agriculture.

The training aimed to enhance national capacities in measuring and monitoring emissions from various sectors and to improve the accuracy of the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory, in line with Yemen\u2019s commitments under international agreements on combating climate change.

The training particularly focused on the use of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Greenhouse Gas Inventory Software to estimate greenhouse gas emissions across all economic sectors. Additional tools that can support inventory preparation and mitigation planning were also presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
