🌍 اختتام الدورة التدريبية لبناء القدرات الفنية والمؤسسية حول جرد الانبعاثات وامتصاصات الغازات الدفيئة 🇾🇪
اختتمت وزارة المياه والبيئة ممثلةً بـ وحدة تغيّر المناخ، وبالتعاون مع منظمة الأغذية والزراعة للأمم المتحدة (FAO) وبدعمٍ من الحكومة الهولندية، الدورة التدريبية لبناء القدرات الفنية والمؤسسية حول جرد الانبعاثات وامتصاصات الغازات الدفيئة.
عُقدت الدورة عن بُعد عبر الإنترنت خلال الفترة من 20 إلى 27 أكتوبر 2025م، بمشاركة 26 متدربًا من المختصين في مجالات البيئة والمناخ والطاقة والزراعة.
هدفت الدورة إلى تعزيز قدرات الكوادر الوطنية في قياس ومتابعة الانبعاثات الناتجة عن مختلف القطاعات، وتحسين دقة إعداد الجرد الوطني لغازات الدفيئة بما يتماشى مع التزامات اليمن في الاتفاقيات الدولية الخاصة بمكافحة تغيّر المناخ.
وركّز التدريب بشكل خاص على استخدام برنامج جرد غازات الدفيئة التابع للهيئة الحكومية الدولية المعنية بتغير المناخ (IPCC) في تقدير انبعاثات الغازات الدفيئة عبر جميع قطاعات الاقتصاد، كما تم عرض أدوات إضافية يمكن الاستفادة منها في دورة جرد الغازات الدفيئة وفي تخطيط التخفيف.

🌍 Conclusion of the Training Workshop on Technical and Institutional Capacity Building for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory 🇾🇪
The Ministry of Water and Environment, represented by the Climate Change Unit, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and with the support of the Government of the Netherlands, concluded the training workshop on technical and institutional capacity building for greenhouse gas emissions inventory.
The training was held remotely online from 20 to 27 October 2025, with the participation of 26 trainees specializing in the fields of environment, climate, energy, and agriculture.
The training aimed to enhance national capacities in measuring and monitoring emissions from various sectors and to improve the accuracy of the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory, in line with Yemen’s commitments under international agreements on combating climate change.
The training particularly focused on the use of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Greenhouse Gas Inventory Software to estimate greenhouse gas emissions across all economic sectors. Additional tools that can support inventory preparation and mitigation planning were also presented.
