🌍 الحوار الأول بشأن آليات وأدوار منظمات المجتمع المدني في العمل المناخي

نظمت وحدة تغيّر المناخ بوزارة المياه والبيئة، بالشراكة مع منظمة الأغذية والزراعة (FAO)، الحوار الأول حول آليات وأدوار منظمات المجتمع المدني في العمل المناخي، كخطوة نحو تطوير آلية التنسيق الوطنية لتغير المناخ.

جمع الحوار ممثلين عن منظمات المجتمع المدني بهدف وضع الأسس لتأسيس المجموعة العنقودية لمنظمات المجتمع المدني المعنية بتغير المناخ، والمساهمة في تنظيم وتفعيل مشاركة المنظمات غير الحكومية في العمل المناخي، وضمان تأثير جهودها وتنسيقها وسماع أصواتها في مناقشات السياسات الوطنية.

تضمن الحوار عرضًا لملخص الإنجازات في ملف التغير المناخي، ومناقشة آلية التنسيق الوطنية وأولوياتها، إضافة إلى المبادئ التوجيهية ومعايير العضوية والاعتماد للمنظمات المعنية بالمناخ. كما قدّم المشاركون نبذات تعريفية عن منظماتهم وأعدّوا نماذج لخطط عمل جماعية سنوية لتعزيز التنسيق والمشاركة في العمليات المناخية الوطنية.

🌍 The First Dialogue on the Mechanisms and Roles of Civil Society Organizations in Climate Action 🇾🇪

The Climate Change Unit at the Ministry of Water and Environment, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), organized the First Dialogue on the Mechanisms and Roles of Civil Society Organizations in Climate Action — a step toward strengthening Yemen’s National Coordination Mechanism on Climate Change.

The dialogue brought together representatives of civil society organizations to lay the foundation for establishing a Civil Society Cluster on Climate Change, aiming to enhance NGO engagement, coordination, and collective impact in climate action and policy discussions.

The event included a presentation on Yemen’s climate achievements, discussions on the National Coordination Mechanism and priorities, as well as guiding principles, membership, and accreditation criteria for NGOs. Participants also shared insights about their organizations and developed draft collective action plans to strengthen coordination and participation in national climate processes.
